We Lend a Hand: The Forgotten Story of Ontario Farmerettes is a documentary film that tells the extraordinary story of 40,000 teenage girls who volunteered on Canadian farms and helped to win the Second World War.

After the screening there will be a Q&A with the filmmakers and a chance to acquire autographed copies of Onion Skins and Peach Fuzz: Memories of Ontario Farmerettes, Shirleyan English and Bonnie Sitter’s amazing book.

In addition to the screening, take the opportunity to connect with local Farmerettes with ties to Aurora, and enjoy a special Farmerettes Ale — created in collaboration with My Indie Coffee Company and Oast House Brewing specifically for this occasion.
