Aurora Cultural Centre presents Jason Wilson and Ashara + Kazdoura

March 28, 2026 - 7:30PM
An unforgettable night of boundary-pushing
global fusion. Scottish-Canadian artist Jason Wilson—JUNO-nominated
musician, bestselling author, and reggae historian—brings his
genre-defying blend of jazz, folk, and reggae to the stage alongside his
dynamic ensemble, Ashara. With over 2,500 performances worldwide and
collaborations ranging from UB40 to Alanis Morissette, Wilson’s music is
as rich and storied as his academic career.
Joining the bill is
Kazdoura, a Toronto-based Arabic fusion band known for their high-energy
performances and viral online presence. Founded by Syrian vocalist Leen
Hamo and Lebanese-Canadian multi-instrumentalist Johnny Abou Chacra,
Kazdoura reimagines Arabic classics through a modern lens—blending jazz,
funk, disco, and electro-pop into something entirely new.
Together,
these two acts promise an exhilarating night of cultural storytelling,
rhythm, and reinvention.
